INDIGENOUS LEARNING SERIES: THE STONEY NAKODA + ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP with John Snow Jr.
March 9, 2022 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Indigenous people have always known Creator and Creation. They have been imparted the language, the songs and ceremonies of this land. Indigenous people have a holistic world view that is important to respect, understand and acknowledge and their teachings and wisdom are needed by western society today. Join John Snow Jr. in a dialogue about how we can appreciate perspectives on Indigenous relationships to the land through Treaty, TRC, and UNDRIP principles. John brings a perspective that derives from his father’s teachings and writing in “These Mountains are Our Sacred Places“ (more details)
