Issues
For over half a century, our conservation activities have focussed on ecological integrity issues—particularly those affecting Banff National Park and the Canmore Corridor downstream of the park. We have participated in a multitude of public planning processes and prepared countless letters and briefs to the government and other stakeholders influencing park development. BVN will continue to present a consistent position in support of biological diversity and ecological integrity. Current issues
These are issues that we are currently looking into in the Bow Valley as well as issues posted by some other organizations. Often times we are looking for individuals to voice their opinions or write letters of concern to the government in order to resolve current issues.
Past issues
BVN has been involved in numerous conservation activities over the past 50 years. Much of the material that reflects our past efforts are housed in the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies’ Archives. If you are interested in learning about issues prior to this time, please send us a direct email.
